Mrs. Susan Johnson
Teacher
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree (2005) and a master’s degree (2008) in Education. I took a 7-year hiatus from working when I moved to Miamisburg with my husband and daughter in 2014. I joined the staff at St. James in 2021 after my daughter had attended preschool at St.
James.
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking/baking, photography, puzzles, and spending time with my family. I consider myself a life-long learner and knew when I was a little girl that I wanted to be a teacher. Teaching at the preschool level has been a dream come true. The excitement and wonder in the eyes of a child who has learned a new skill brings so much joy to my heart.

My name is Amee Espelage. I have been a teacher at St. James since 2005. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Cincinnati. I have been married for 25 years. I have two daughters that are both alumni of St. James Preschool. They are both currently in college. I am an animal lover and love spending time with my pets and my family. I enjoy crafting, outdoor activities and chocolate. I love teaching at St. James Preschool because every day is a new day. It’s wonderful to see how much the children grow through the year. I love to see their smiling faces when they come to Preschool. My girls loved going to school here and that’s when I began to love St. James. The Preschool staff is amazing and supportive.
